Federal Theater Project

Theatre accessible by all

Founded in 2012, the Federal Theatre Project exists to bring free and affordable theatre to under-served populations within the Washington, DC area. Our productions focus primarily on American governance; that is to say, the political process. We focus on removing the mystery from politics and engaging young audiences in the political process early.

The Federal Theatre Project is non-partisan in its offerings. We strive to foster a sense of civic engagement, not a particular agenda.

In short, we want to get audience members to think, not tell them what to think!

Synopsis

Leila Blaze takes over as the new CEO and President of the Bringling Brothers Circus, the finest circus in all the land. As problems and crisis begin to mount, will Leila be able to handle the pressure, or will she crumble like three-day-old cotton candy? An allegory on the unforseen challenges leaders must face, It's a Circus Out There is an all-ages theatrical experience complete with clowns, knife throwing, fire eating and more!

We hope you will join us for It's a Circus Out There!
